The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) strived hard to build the Muslim nation, SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah) he (peace be upon him) has succeeded in his struggle to convey the message. 'Say: Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for God, the Cherisher of the Worlds' [Qur'an 6:162]. Don't be a Muslim that has been crippled by the gaps in your knowledge in Islam. Be a part of this beautiful Ummah. Work together and help each other so that we can truly lead a life on the Straight Path.

ALWAYS REMEMBER
'I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the One, without any partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and His messenger'

Unshakable

As-salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuh,

SubhanAllah, FOSIS (http://fosis.org.uk/) held an incredible dinner today called 'UNSHAKABLE'
When you are going through hardship and your about to give up because your struggling I want you to think about this...

in the case of a believer, there is always going to be struggles. The Prophets (peace be upon them all) struggled:
Prophet Ayub AS lost his wealth, his children and his health. Yet he remained patient and said 'Alhamduillah'. Ibrahim AS was put to great tests by Allah when asked to leave his family in the desert, when he was to slaughter his own son and even when they threw him into the blazing fire. Yet, he trusted in Allah azawajal and passed the test of faith. Yusuf AS was thrown into prison for false allegations for years and his own brothers left him to die in the desert because they were jealous. Yet it was to Yusuf AS was freed from all false allegations and given a lofty position. His brothers came to seek provisions from him during the famine and his family was returned to him.  Nuh AS struggled when no one listened and including his own son. Yet Allah gave him better family and children who believed in Allah azawajal. Muhammad SAWS was an orphan and faced loss of loved ones year after year. He was persecuted for years for his pure belief. He has to leave his beloved home and faced great trials that no other mankind has faced. Subhan’Allah, I cannot even begin to convey the struggled faced by our beloved prophet Muhammad SAWS and so I highly suggest that you read the Seerah of the Prophet SAWS).

What do they all have in common?
These Prophets (peace be upon them all) had an unshakable connection, unshakable emaan, unshakable faith, unshakable trust, unshakable believe in Allah and the hereafter.
Everything a believer does is beneficial and is never wasted. The sweetness of the struggle and outcome may be felt straight away or you may wait until the hereafter. Remain upon the truth and become unshakable and in return you are promised Jannah. So you might be thinking... ‘‘but these amazing people are Prophets (peace be upon them) and who am I compared to them?’’
However, everyone has the potential to be untouchable just make your connection with Allah azawajal strong and firm.
Let me give you a story of slave who became untouchable and unshakable:
Bilal (RA) was a slave who came to the belief of Allah (for more detailed story: http://www.sln.org.uk/storyboard/stories/i3.htm ). For his belief in Islam, Bilal (RA) was punished severely; he was dragged across Makkah, he was starved, beaten, he was stretched, he was placed under all torture methods that people could think of and finally he was placed under a rock and left there during the high heat of the entire day. The continued to torture his until he denounced his faith from Islam but even under the most extreme torture condition Bilal remained in his words ‘Ahad-one Allah’.

Many Muslims at this time was tortured and the Prophet SAWS told them that it was permissible to denounce Islam under conditions that threatened there life as long as the emaan was alive in their heart. Yet Bilal was never to be broken. For his struggle and his unshakable belief, the Prophet SAWS asked Bilal RA to give the call to prayer, the Azan. The Azan is the Sunnah of Bilal RA and when the Muslims had won the conquest of Makkah, Bilal (RA) was told to get on top of the Kaba and give the call!
SubhanAllah, in the sight of Allah azawajal look at this beautiful outcome. Bilal was a slave and the stone was placed on top of him, yet look with his unshakable emaan he was on top of the Kabaah calling all the Muslims.

Life is a test and we all live in difficulty. The more you practise Islam, the more difficult your life will become. The most tested were The Anbya (Prophets) peace be upon them. We should not move away from the difficulty or away from Allah. W should become closer to Allah, become unshakable, become untouchables and receive the rewarded from Allah azawajal.
Finally be patient as our ultimate goal is Janaah (Heaven)!

Practical Application:
Studying Islam gives us the solutions we need.
1)    Read the Qur’an frequently
2)    Be aware of the ayats in the Qur’an
3)    Attach yourself to the Book of Allah
4)    And never forget: Every single human on this earth will have to face the reality of death. If we forget then we may go astray. So it’s important to hold firm and remember death frequently as it strikes a balance.
Insha’Allah this beautiful reminder and event from FOSIS is beneficial to you as it has been to me Al’hamduillah.
JazakaAllah khayr.

Spread the word about Islam

As-salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuh,

I search, read and listen ways to increase my emaan and subhanAllah there is so many amazing things out there and I pray that the links below provide to be benefical to you as it has been to me.

Islamic Tube:

http://www.islamictube.com/index.php

KhalifahKlothing's Channel:

http://www.youtube.com/user/khalifahklothing/featured

The aim of this channel mentioned by the authors themselves:
This is Islam: Islam means "submission to God". Islam is the belief that there is only One God, whose proper name is Allah, which means " the God". Islam is the same message given to all the prophets, from Adam, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Jesus, and finally to the Prophet Muhammad, the last messenger (peace and blessings be upon them). They all brought the same message: worship only God, and stop worshipping human beings and their ideas.

Become a Muslim Now: If you believe there is only One God who should be worshiped, and no one/nothing else has that right but Him, and you believe Muhammad, peace be upon him, was a messenger who brought the same message as all the prophets before him, then you are basically a Muslim.

Al'hamduillah I have benefitted alot from this channel so CHECK IT OUT.

Your Potential

The Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) contains talent, possibilities, motivatation, relentless, determination, awakened people and people ready to work for the cause of Allah azawajal (waiting for inspiration).
The Ummah needs to aim high and this means every single one of us needs to aim for our full potential.

Ali ibn Abu Talib (RA) said, "May Allah have mercy on one Who knows his own value and did not go beyond the limits."

1) Set yourself realistic goals and insha'Allah you will achieve them. Allah azawajal has mercy on a person who knows the greatness of their potential and the extent of their ability. Allah azawajal allows them to reach their aim, goal and potential.

2) Motivate oneself and ask Allah azawajal to become a giant in the Ummah. There is always a few problems that are preventing us from achieveing. But if we know the problem then we can overcome that obstacle.

All individuals have fanatastic ideas but people rely on others to take the burden of the Ummah. So make the change and take the lead, yes it will be difficult on yourself but this will bring you closer to Allah azawajal inshaAllah. Another problem seen is that the Muslim Ummah lack role models. Yes, there are amazing role models out there e.g. Muhammad Al-Shareef. But, why dont you make a change and become the role model. Be the person that the next generation of young muslims look up too and inspire to be like. Another problem that we might face, is that we do not take action after we are motivated .

THE ADVICE

1) Make Dua to Allah azawajal
Make tremendous dua's whenever possible as it is our weapon as a believer.
- Ya' Allah make me a benefit to this Ummah
- Ya' Allah make me a giant in this Ummah
- Ya' Allah make me the highest achiever in my exams
- Ya' Allah you know my weaknesses, so help me overcome my weaknesses
- Ya' Allah make my speech beautiful
- Ya' Allah give me people to help
- Ya' Allah make me an Imam
- Ya' Allah make me someone who this Ummah can look up too
- Ya' Allah make me a Hafiz, an Alim, a Huja for the deen (someone who helps the people in need).
Ameen

2) Fill your heart with the Love for this Ummah
- Ya' Allah, if Muslims in the West are destroyed you will worship you,
- Ya' Allah, if there were no more Muslims in England, then who will worship you
- Ya' Allah strengthen this Ummah so we can worship you

3) Take on a Coach
This person will help you unlock your potential. The Prophet SAWS has Jibreel (AS) to teach him/ The Companions (RA) has the Prophet (SAWS) to teach them.

4) Keep Company with Righteous People
These people will help you in your emaan and they will encourage you to aim high enough, that is why it is essential to have a good circle of friends. You can study hard together, help on another and remember that Allah azawajal wants you to do well and the Ummah is waiting for you.

It si important to be thankful to Allah azawajal for the knowledge and that you must continue to be the best. Change yourself to become a better person and closer to Allah azawajal so that Allah's victory comes to you.

There is two aspects that you must consider:
i. KNOWLEDGE (the divine answer)
ii. ACTION (acting upon the knowledge, practical, achieveable and realistic goals for the Ummah)

Broadbase where all the different groups so you must be able to call out to average people do not specify. improve the ummah in four different areas:
i. Education and training of Ummah
ii. Enough youth and family service
iii. Services in the government

Imagine this question was asked t you...''What would you like to be the leader of in the Islamic state lead by a khalifah?'
Insha'Allah, I hope this inspires you to go forward and achieve your potential what ever it may be.

When is the Victory of Allah Coming

(Notes on a lecture by Tawfique Chowdury)

Do not ask Allah to be among the companions at the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) because we could have been disbelievers and our hearts may not be pure. The Prophet (SAWS) had so much sorrow in his life
i. Before death of our beloved Prophet (SAWS) who experienced so much pain, more than any human  in this life
ii. When the Prophet (SAWS) was hungry, he would place 3 stones on his stomach not to feel the hunger pangs
iii. Allah azawajal took Khadijah (RA) when the Prophet (SAWS) was in great need of her.
iv. The Prophet (SAWS) lost one person at a time (his father, his morther and his beloved uncle, before they had the chance to enter Islam).
But this was all a test, so Allah reminds us here that He (SWA) created life and causes death.

Or did you expect that you would enter Paradise, while the example of those who were before you came to you; they were stricken with adversity and hardship, and they were shaken until the messenger and those who believed with him said: "When is God's victory" Yes indeed, God's victory is near [2:214]

Do not despair because victory is delayed because there is wisdom behind it:
[1] Allah can increase our reward by the patience and perserverance that we show
(This will help to elevate our position on the Day of Judgement. Allah azawajal will beautify us and allow us to draw nearer and remember Him (SWA))
[2] The reason why Allah azawajal tests us is because Allah wants to divide the believeing patient Muslims from the disbelieveing impatient munafique
(This will allow Allah azawajal to find those who are steadfast to Him (SWA) and His religion
'...Allah will not give the disbelievers any way (of success) against the believers.' [4:141]

Truely, Allah will not give the disbelievers the upperhand of the believers. So long as we are the believers so we cannot be sinful and transgressful against the command of Allah azawajal)

The Qur'an sets clear guidelines on how to gain mercy
i. If you help the people of Allah azawajal, Allah azawajal will help you
ii. If you give Allah a loan, thenAllah will give it back to you with abdundance
iii. The way you act with Allah azawajal, Allah will act with you.

Struggle in the cause of this religion with your life and your wealth. Allah will help you in this life and the hereafter. Allah will make you among the righteous and give you a dwelling place in Jannat-al-Firdous. Aim to establish emaan in all different aspects.
InshaAllah these will benefit you.

25 Promises

From this amazing blog: http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/category/25-promises/
I really recommend you visit this site by the K2 team (2011) who have translated notes from
Taken from the lecture of Imam Anwar al-Awlaki (hafidhullah) titled “The 25 promises from Allah to the believers.”

Paradise -Jannah

Allah, the Most High says,

“Give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits therein, they say: “Why, this is what we were fed with before,” for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy), and they abide therein (for ever).”

[Al Qur’an 2:25]

This promise of Allah is sufficient. One does not even need to think of the other 24 promises, as this promise of Paradise is sufficient and is in fact more than what we deserve.

In Jannah are things an eye hasn’t seen, the ear hasn’t heard, the mind has not imagined and language cannot express.

However one has to earn this, as the product of Allah, i.e. Paradise is not cheap.

Light Noor

Allah, the Most High, says:

“One Day shall you see the believing men and the believing women, how their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands: (their greeting will be): “Good News for you this Day, gardens beneath which flow rivers, to dwell therein for forever. This is indeed the highest Achievement”

[Al Qur’an 57:12]

On the Day of Judgement it will be dark and we will be asked to cross over a bridge that is thinner than hair and sharper than a razor blade, and there will be no light, so it will be impossible unless we’re given light by Allah. This light that Allah will give us, the power of the light, will depend on how much light was in our heart in the Dunya. So this light which is in the heart, which is not a physical light, but a spiritual light, will come on the Day of Judgement in a physical form.

Depending on how much Iman (faith and belief) was in the heart. Iman will come on the Day of Judgement in the form of light. Some people will have so much light that they run over the bridge so fast like a breeze. While some run. Some walk, some will take a step then stop until they get their light back again. Some will start but will not reach the end because of insufficient light.

Allah will be with you

Allah, the Most High, says

“…for verily Allah is with those who believe.”

[Al Qur’an 8:19]

When Allah says that “Allah is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else.

Rasullulah(saw) has said “Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him before you.”

Allah will be with us and will give us according to what we are doing, i.e. our actions and our deeds.

The grace and kindness of Allah – Fadl

Allah, the Most High, says,

“…for Allah is full of grace to those who believe.”

[Al Qur’an 3:152]

The grace of Allah is vast. Allah(swt) is more graceful to us than we deserve. At times we want something from Allah, yet Allah gives us more. This is the grace and kindness of Allah upon the believers.

The protection and friendship of Allah

Allah, the Most High says,

“Without doubt, amongst men, the nearest of kin to Ibrahim, are those who follow him, as are also this Messenger and those who believe: And Allah is the Wali [protecting friend] of those who have faith.”

[Al Qur’an 3:68]

Wali means a friend, a protector. So Allah is saying that He is the Wali of the believers.

So a believer doesn’t need anyone else besides Allah, because if Allah is your Wali, then who else do you need.

Allahu Akbar!!!

The mercy of Allah – Rahmah

Allah, the Most High says,

“Then, as to those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy. That will be the achievement for all to see.”

[Al Qur’an 45:30]

Allah is Ar-Raheem (the Merciful). A person can also be Raheem, however the Mercy of Allah is on a completely different level.

Allah’s mercy is in proportion to His greatness.

When Allah says that He will bring the believers unto His Mercy, it means the ‘Pinnacle of Mercy’.

Rasulullah(saw) said –“none will enter Paradise, except with the Mercy of Allah”

Victory

Allah, the Most High says,

“We will, without doubt, help our Messengers and those who believe, (both) in this world’s life and on the Day when the Witnesses will stand forth”

[Al Qur’an 40:51]

And Allah, the Most High also says,

“…and it was due from Us to aid (give victory) those who believed.”

[Al Qur’an 30:47]

When we get our belief right, then Allah will grant us victory.

However we should be patient, as the believers will go through many tests before victory is granted.

Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) would ask the sahaabah what suffering they had gone through, so a particular sahaabi uncovered his back and showed it to him. Umar said I have never seen a back like this, what happened to you. He said the musrikeen of Quraish would burn rocks over fire for a long time and then they would throw me on my naked back over these rocks, so my flesh would burn and I would smell my back burning, so it left some black deep holes in his back.

What have we gone through? We live comfortable lives. We have gone through nothing compared to what the sahaabah went through, and also what some muslims are going through today.

Victory of Allah is on its way, this is the promise of Allah. If it doesn’t happen in our lifetime it will happen in our children’s lifetime, but it will happen.

Allah will erase the evil

Allah, the Most High says,

“Those who believe and work righteous deeds, from them shall We blot out all evil (that maybe) in them, and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds.”

[Al Qur’an 29:7]

Jannah is pure, so it can only admit someone who is pure. Jannah and impurity cannot go together.

There is no one who is free from sin. We are all contaminated, every one of us, so how can we wash away these sins. Allah promises that with the believers he shall wash away their sins.

This is done through the following ways: Taubah (Repentance), Istigfaar (seeking forgiveness), illness wipes away sins if borne patiently, hardship, trials and tribulations etc…

There must be a cleaning process. There are some people that Allah loves them so much. Allah wants to show His favour on them. So Allah will make some of their sins in this world hidden and will make the same sins hidden in the hereafter. Rasul(saw) said –“a man will be brought on the day of judgement and his knees will be shaking , his book of deeds will be brought before him, he knew what he did and he will go through the book and will see a lot of sins, but he will see that some big sins have been left out. So he will say oh Allah there are some sins I don’t see here, Allah(swt) will say oh my servant I concealed them for you in the World. So I conceal them for you today.”

Allah will make a sitr (covering and veil over sins) on the believer as long as the believer makes sitr on himself. So if you have committed a mistake or sin, then seek repentance from Allah, make istigfaar and move on. As long as it is done with sincerity Allah is willing to erase anything.

Love for them

Allah, the Most High says,

“Verily, those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Gracious will bestow love for them.”

[Al Qur’an 19:96]

The commentators of the Qur’an say that, if you draw your heart closer to Allah, then Allah will draw the hearts of the believers closer to you.

Another saying – “if you displease Allah by pleasing the creation, then Allah will be displeased with you and will make the creation also displeased with you and if you please Allah by displeasing the creation, then Allah will be pleased with you and will also make the creation pleased with you.”

This is what we should want, for the hearts of the believers to love us.

So love Allah and Allah will make the servants of Allah love you.

This love is only from the sincere believers, but such love is not to be expected from the disbelievers and from the insincere believers.

No effort will be wasted

Allah the Most High says,

“As to those who believe and work righteousness, verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of any who do a (single) righteous deed.”

[Al Qur’an 18:30]

Sometimes you might feel that you are wasting your time. For instance you are giving Dawah (calling towards Islam), but nobody is listening, or you can’t see a change in the people. You should know that your reward is with Allah and none of your effort will be wasted, as success is not about numbers.

Rasullullah (saw) says that when I was taken to the heavens – “I saw a prophet with 10 followers, a prophet with 5 followers, a prophet with 2 followers, some with 1 follower and some with no followers.” However these Prophets did not fail, rather it was the people who refused to believe.

In fact Allah will pay you back with more than what you did

Protection from Shaitaan

Allah, the Most High says,

“No authority has he (i.e. Shaitaan) over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.”

[Al Qur’an 16:99]

Put your trust in Allah and Allah will protect you from Shaitaan.

Iblis (Shaitaan) is very experienced. He is stronger than us, we can’t defeat him except with the help of Allah.

Allah has given us many weapons to defeat the Shaitaan. A believer uses these weapons that Allah has given him.

For instance Ayat-ul-Kursi which is recited before going to sleep and on other occasions, the tawwudh (words of seeking protection from Shaitaan), the Daily adhkaar (Prayers and invocations) for morning and evening from the ahadeeth, the prayer before entering the lavatory etc… are all weapons that Allah has given to the believers as a protection against the Shayateen (army of devils), both from amongst the Jinn and from amongst Mankind.

Steadfastness and firmness – Thibaat

Allah, the Most High says,

“Allah will establish in strength those who believe, with the word that stands firm, in this world and in the Hereafter; but Allah will leave, to stray, those who do wrong, and Allah does what He wills.”

[Al Qur’an 14:27]

Allah will give you steadfastness, because you will need this for what is coming. You wouldn’t be able to cope with the trials that await you if you are believers. You will need thibaat (steadfastness and firmness)

It’s very easy to remain on the straight path at this moment. But will we have the consistency to stay on it for years, without diverting.

Rasul(saw) would often make the following dua “Oh the one who overturns the hearts make our hearts steadfast upon your religion”

The hearts can easily flip and turn, even the word for heart in Arabic, Qalb, comes from the word taqqalab which means overturning, flipping.

May Allah make all of our hearts steadfast upon His religion ameen.

A good ending

Allah, the Most High says,

“For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return.”

[Al Qur’an 13:29]

Allah, the Most High also mentions what Moosa(AS) said to his people,

“…for the earth belongs to Allah, and He will give it to whomever He wills and the end belongs to the Al-Muttaqeen (righteous).”

[Al Qur’an 7:128]

Allah promises a good ending for the believers.

Don’t worry about all the difficulties that are being experienced now, as the happy end is for the believers.

Allah will save you

“In the end We deliver Our Messengers and those who believe (to safety) Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe.”

[Al Qur’an 10:103]

Prophet Yunus(as) was in the stomach of the fish in 3 layers of darkness, the darkness of the stomach of the fish, the darkness of the night, and the darkness of the sea/ocean.

Yet when he called out to Allah saying,

“Oh Allah there is no God but you, glory be to you, I have wronged myself” [Al Qur’an 21:87]

Allah heard his plea in the depth of 3 layers of darkness, as He, the Most High says,

“So We listened to him and delivered him from distress, and thus do We deliver those who have faith.” [Al Qur’an 21:88]

Guidance – Hidayah

Allah the Most high, says,

“Those who believe, and work righteousness, their Lord will guide them because of their faith, beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.”

[Al Qur’an 10:9]

And this is what we need most. Just because we are believers, it doesn’t mean that we don’t need guidance. We need guidance in every moment of our lives.

The most frequent dua that one makes is in Surah Al-fatihah – “Oh Allah guide us to the straight path.” [Al Qur’an 1:5]

So Allah will guide them because of their iman

We cannot live without the guidance and tawfiq (ability to do good) of Allah

Blessings – Barakah

Allah the Most high, says,

“If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, we should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth, but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.”

[Al Qur’an 7:96]

We should not believe in Allah and His messenger(saw) in order to seek the blessings of this world, rather we should seek the blessings of the hereafter.

However at times Allah will bless this Ummah. Some of that time has already passed, and some is still to come, i.e. when Isa (AS) reappears.

Sins also have an effect on blessings. An individual who sins can be deprived of many blessings in his life. Collectively in this world, if the earth has sins, i.e. the sins of the inhabitants, then it takes away the barakah. However when there is iman and righteousness then there is barakah. At the time of Isa(AS) there will be so much barakah.

Peace and security

Allah the Most high, says,

“It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance.”

[Al Qur’an 6:82]

Only Allah can give peace.

People claim to have the solution to bringing peace to the heart, but only Allah has the solution.

This security can be in different forms. For instance in the battle of Badr at the time of Rasullulah(Saw), where the Muslim army was 300 men and they were facing an army of 1000 strong. So at such a moment when you are outnumbered there is room for anxiety, but Allah at that time brought down upon them the Muslims sakeenah (serenity), and sent rain to cool them and to make the ground firm under their feet. Then a strange thing happened, when suddenly they all fell asleep, When He encompassed you all with slumber as a source of Peace from Him.” [Al Qur’an].

Abdullah bin Saud (May Allah have mercy upon him) says. “Slumber during fighting is a source of peace from Allah (swt), and slumber during Salaah is from shaitaan.”

So the companions of Rasullulah (saw) were facing death before them, yet they fell asleep. Imagine and Look at the tranquillity that came to them from Allah, this is something that can only come from Allah. No worldly preparation, no training, nothing can prepare one for that. This is from Allah. The gift is from Him(swt).

Forgiveness – Maghfirah

Allah the Most high, says,

“To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness has Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward”

[Al Qur’an 5:9]

Every single person is in need of the forgiveness of Allah. One of Allah’s attributes is that he is the Most Forgiving. So Allah will forgive the believers as long as they repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness.

As Allah the Most high, also says

“O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls. Despair not of the Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins, for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

[Al Qur’an 39:53]

Allah will pay them in full

Allah the Most high, says,

“As to those who believe and work righteousness, Allah will pay them (in full) their reward, but Allah loves not those who do wrong.”

[Al Qur’an 3:57]

Allah will pay you for every single deed that you did. Nothing will be wasted

No fear and no grief

Allah the Most high, says,

“Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.”

[Al Qur’an 2:277]

Abdus Salaam (a scholar of the past) (May Allah have mercy upon him) once went to visit a tyrant, with his students. So at first he started to speak softly, but then his voice started becoming louder and louder and his voice was becoming harsher and harsher, and he started pointing towards this tyrant. So his students started wrapping up their cloaks, because they were expecting that at anytime a sword will cut off his head, because of the way he was speaking to this tyrant. When he came out, his students went to him and said, what have you done, how could you speak to him like that. He said that when I imagined the greatness of Allah, then this tyrant became in front of me smaller than a cat.

This happened when he put things into perspective

As a believer you could go through situations where you have fear, because fear is a natural human instinct, however when iman sinks into the heart it eliminates fear. So you might go through that natural feeling of fear, but you will overcome it thorough your iman.

“Is there any Reward for Good, other than Good?” [Al Qur’an 55:60]

Deliverance from darkness into light

Allah the Most high, says,

“Allah is the Protector of those who have faith; from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones, from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever).”

[Al Qur’an 2:257]

Allah will deliver the believers from the darkness of disbelief, doubt and hesitation into the light of Islam, which is the plain, clear and unequivocal truth.

When a person is granted the light of Islam, Allah enables such a person to differentiate between good and evil, truth and falsehood, right and wrong. Such a person lives their life according to the will and command of Allah, because Allah has enabled them to realise the true purpose and reality of this life.

So such a person gives preference to the hereafter, which is everlasting, over this world, which is transitory and temporary and will soon perish.

Those whose hearts are veiled in darkness do not realise this, and so spend their lives in disbelief and disobedience.

(Note: this explanation is not from Imam Anwar)

Allah will never grant the disbelievers a way over the believers

Allah the Most high, says,

“And never will Allah grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers” [Al Qur’an 4:141]

Rasullulah (saw) mentions in a hadith that “Islam is always higher and nothing goes above it.” Meaning nothing can overpower Islam.

So if we don’t see this happening, and we see the disbelievers having an upper hand over the believers, then we shouldn’t question the promise of Allah, but rather we should question ourselves and our Iman (faith). Are we behaving like true believers, or is the opposite true.

Protection

Allah the Most high, says,

“Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe, verily, Allah loves not any that is a traitor to faith or shows ingratitude.”

[Al Qur’an 22:38]

Allah will protect the believers

If you are a believer then Allah will protect you. This is the promise of Allah. If anybody doesn’t get this, then that means there is something wrong with the iman (faith).

A good life – Hayaatan tayyibah

Allah the Most high, says,

“Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.”

[Al Qur’an 16:97]

The believers have a very good life, don’t be fooled by what you see. For sometimes what you see is not what you get. Sometimes you can see a wealthy disbeliever who has the world in his hands, but you can’t see what is going on in the inside, and he doesn’t know what the believers are feeling because he has never felt it. He feels happy with what he has and doesn’t know that there is something much better than that.

Ibn Taymiyah (May Allah have mercy on him) said “If the kings knew the happiness and pleasure that we feel in our hearts, they would come and try to take it away from us with the tips of their swords.”

“But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a very distressful life.” [Al Qur’an 20:124]

Be assured anyone not on the true path is having a life of misery even if you think otherwise. Whilst the believers who are apparently going through suffering, Allah is giving them a feeling in their heart that could not be bought with the wealth of this Dunya.

Because of the difficulty the believers go through and the patience they show Allah gives them something in their hearts that cannot be described with words.

Again, if you are not feeling this, then there is something wrong with the iman (faith).

Promise 25 of 25

Establishment on Earth – Tamkeen

Allah the Most high, says,

“Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion, the one which He has chosen for them and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: They will worship Me (alone) and not associate any partner with Me. If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked.”

[Al Qur’an 24:55]

Rasullulah(saw) said in a hadith that “Allah has shown me the entire Earth and told me the kingdom of my nation will reach all of it”

So the question is not if Islam will be victorious or not. That has been promised and will happen. But rather the question is that are we going to play a role in that or not.

The group who bring Islam back will be the ones who resemble the companions the most. Because the Muslims who came after the Sahaabah have always lived under Islamic rule, now the Muslims have the golden opportunity of doing what the Sahaabah did, i.e. re-establishing Islam and Islamic rule.

Rasullulah(saw) said in another hadith that, “I wish that I could meet my brothers, so the Sahaabah said aren’t we your brothers, so Rasul(saw) said no, you are my Companions, but my brothers are going to be people who will come at the end of time, and one of them would wish that they could see me, even if it would cost them their wealth and their families.” Meaning a glimpse of Rasullullah(saw) for them would be worth more than anything in the world.

So such will be the people who will bring Islam back, that Rasullullah(saw) referred to them as brothers. This honour will be for them because of their intense love for Allah, their love for the Prophet(saw), and for Islam, and their total obedience to the commands of Allah and their following the sunnah.
